If you’re a Joni Mitchell fan, you will become a Kiki Ebsen fan as she faithfully performs a variety of Joni’s songs in a wonderful show... ”

Stephen Bishop ~ Grammy nominated artist

The Joni Mitchell Project celebrates the genius of the Joni Mitchell songbook. Singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Kiki Ebsen delivers beautiful piano on "Both Sides Now" and "Case of You," and shifts to guitar on "Coyote" and "Chelsea Morning," among others. You'll enjoy her band arrangements of "Woodstock," "Big Yellow Taxi," and "Free Man in Paris," as well as the deeper tracks like "Blonde in the Bleachers," and "Michael From Mountains". Kiki follows Joni through her early years of "Blue" and "Song to a Seagull" then explores her jazzy side with cuts from her "Mingus" record and "Wild Things Run Fast". Kiki and her band pay tribute to Joni Mitchell, her music, style, originality and pure artistry like no other. This event should not be missed!

Featuring Kiki Ebsen - vocals/keys/guitar, Terry Wollman - guitar, Grant Geissman - guitar, Steve Lawrence - bass, and Bernie Dresel - drums

KIKI EBSEN is a dynamic musician and singer-songwriter who has built an exciting career that can find her, any day of the week, headlining a jazz festival, singing with a Symphony Pops orchestra, performing on stage in a show featuring the Great American Songbook, and she can still be found on hundreds of YouTube videos that remind people of the 20 years she spent touring with Grammy-winners and platinum-selling artists such as Boz Scaggs, Christopher Cross, Belinda Carlisle, Tracy Chapman, Al Jarreau, and James Ingram who inspired her to keep on writing her own music. She is, in fact, a respected songwriter whose compositions are included on albums by Boney James, Eric Marienthal, Jessy J, and others. Whether pop, rock, jazz, blues, covers or her own compositions, Kiki Ebsen is happiest in front of a microphone and keyboard, sharing music.

Kiki’s “Scarecrow Sessions,” her 6th CD, honoring her dad, was released in 2014, and includes classic jazz standards, such as “Somewhere Over the Rainbow,” “Moon River,” “Easy to Love,” and more. In 2015, Kiki was inspired to develop a multimedia show, “To Dad with Love: A Tribute to Buddy Ebsen, honoring the life and career of her famous dad” The show features Kiki and her band of first-call jazz musicians, performing on stage against a stunning video presentation that she and her brother, Dustin Ebsen, an award-winning video editor, created with over 200 images of Hollywood’s best memories.

Her Joni Mitchell Project, includes songs from nine of Joni’s albums, including “Song to a Seagull,” “For the Roses,” and “The Hissing of Summer Lawns.” In addition to these shows, Kiki’s schedule includes Symphony POPS, and solo appearances across the country.

When time permits, you can find Kiki Ebsen back home on her ranch teaching with her herd of rescued horses on her nonprofit organization, The Healing Equine Ranch. www.kikiebsen.com
