Herman Matthews (born December 28, 1960 in Houston, Texas) is an American drummer and composer. Matthews works as a session and touring musician, most notably for Tower of Power, Kenny Loggins and toured with Tom Jones for more than 7 years. He began playing drums at the age of seven and has been the backbone of world-class pop, rock, jazz, soul, R&B and funk bands for nearly thirty years.

Matthews has worked with such artists as Stevie Wonder, Celine Dion, Elton John, Sheryl Crow, Herbie Hancock, Carole King, John Mayall, Spencer Davis, Edgar Winter, Luther Vandross, Rebekah, Bob James, Bobby Kimball, KINA, George Duke, Kirk Whalum, Eric Burdon & The Animals, David Foster, Michael McDonald, Michael Bolton, Patti Austin, Teresa James, Robin Thicke, Angela Winbush, The Isley Brothers, Bonnie Raitt, Taj Mahal and Richard Marx.^[2] Matthews' work appears on movie and television soundtracks, he was a house-band member for the hit television show, In Living Color.

Matthews released his first solo CD Home At Last in 2007.^[3]^[4] The title track was featured in an episode of the Fox Broadcasting Company crime/drama K-VILLE starring Anthony Anderson and Cole Hauser.^[5]

Matthews replaced drummer, Jay Bellerose (Elton John, Bonnie Raitt), for the Hugh Laurie, 2013 - 2014, World Tour. Matthews' first gig with the Copper Bottom Band was for the PBS, "Live On The Queen Mary", broadcast on August 3, 2013.^[6] Laurie's 2013 album, Didn't It Rain, peaked Billboard Magazine's, Billboard 200 at #21 and was #1 on Billboard's Top Blues Albums.

This show features Herman and some of the many luminaries in the music industry he calls friends. It is a surefire winner and we are thrilled to be part of it.

RESERVATION TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Westlake Village Inn reserves the right to inspect and control all private functions. Liability for damage to the event space will be charged to the Client.

Bogies will not assume any liability for theft or any other type of loss of personal property, which occurs prior to, during, or after your function.

As a licensee of the California State Liquor Commission, Bogies strictly adheres to all laws and regulations pertaining to the sales, consumption, and service of alcoholic beverages. In particular, sale to minors and intoxicated persons.

In the event of natural disaster, extreme weather conditions, or terrorist attack, any portion of the event that is booked in any outdoor area will be moved based on available space and at Bogies discretion.

ARRIVAL TIME: Set up times are available 1 hour prior to your guest invite time. Your space will be held up to 1 hour after your designated arrival time. Your space will be released without refund should you fail to arrive within 1 hour of your guest arrival time.

MINIMUM: You must meet your food and beverage minimum with all consumables purchased on one tab through your personal designated server. Menu selection and meal counts must be received 1 week prior to function date. No changes in meal counts will be accepted 72 hours prior to the event date. After your minimum has been met, you may order through your server with separate tabs. Gratuity is not included in your minimum.

GUEST LIST: Your event has been allotted a specific number of persons to be included on your complimentary guest list. Upon arrival, you and your guests must enter the VIP line and provide party name along with valid I.D. Once the guest list max has been reached, there will be a cover charge of $10 per person unless a hotel key is presented along with room number and name on hotel reservation. You may also provide a specific guest list with the names of those whom you wish to receive waived entry.

DRESS CODE: The club reserves the right to refuse entry to any guest who does not meet dress code requirements. The following items will not be admitted; -T-shirts -Sports & Athletic Apparel -Sweatshirts & Sweatpants -Ill-fitting or Overly Rugged Clothing -Ball Caps -Flip flops -Sagging pants

CANCELLATION: Event may be cancelled or transferred to another date with 72 hours’ notice. You will be refunded your deposit in full. If the event is cancelled without 48 hour notice or the host fails to appear for the reservation, the deposit will not be available for refund.
