"Peter Asher: A Musical Memoir of the 60s and Beyond" featuring the music of Peter and Gordon

We first came to know him through the global smash "World Without Love" as one half of the British Invasion duo Peter & Gordon. He returns in "Peter Asher: A Musical Memoir of the 60s and Beyond" which brings a multimedia experience to the stage, hosted by the two-time Grammy winner for Producer of the Year. Peter Asher moved effortlessly from his role with Peter & Gordon to Music Executive with the Beatles' Apple Records, then famously- (as in cover of Rolling Stone magazine level famous)- to Producer and Manager, handling the careers of James Taylor, Linda Ronstadt and a host of others. Books abound, documentaries with half truths (and worse) are all too common, but, now, finally, Mr. Asher tells first hand his tales from the eye of the cultural hurricane in this intimate evening.

"Memoir" includes film footage and photos from Peter's considerable personal archive, brought to life with a storyteller's gift, transporting audiences back to the heart of 60s popular culture. Icons such as Mick Jagger, John Lennon, Paul McCartney, Marianne Faithful, Yoko Ono, Carole King, James Taylor and Linda Ronstadt are among the cast of characters in this narrative - along (of course) with the greatly missed Gordon Waller. The evening is filled with the music of Peter & Gordon, including "I Go to Pieces", "True Love Ways", and "Lady Godiva". The songs given to Peter & Gordon by Paul McCartney are also front and center: "Woman", "I Don't Want to See You Again", Nobody I Know", and "World Without Love", all of which were US Top 40 hits. Peter presents these timeless classics along with other old favourites from that golden era.

The show brings the audience through the earliest days of Peter's journey all the way to the present day, and projects such as the Peter Asher-produced CD celebrating Elton John's "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road" -released in March 2014 - and featuring Ed Sheeran, Hunter Hayes, Fall Out Boy, and others. Covered as well is Peter's production of the "Love has Come for You" CD by Steve Martin and Edie Brickell -- the title track a Grammy Winner in 2014- and the stage show based on it, "Bright Star", which premiered at San Diego's Old Globe Theatre in the fall of 2014, and garnered 5 Tony nominations in its run on Broadway in 2016. Peter takes you behind the curtain of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony, where he inducted two old friends, the Rolling Stones' first manager Andrew Loog Oldham and the Beatles' Manager Brian Epstein. The PBS special “Buddy Holly: Listen to Me -The Ultimate Buddy Party" is still being aired regularly, and its sister CD, "Listen to Me: Buddy Holly" remains a favorite. His work on soundtracks, alongside the legendary Hans Zimmer, is touched on as well-recent releases include "The Amazing Spider-Man 2", "Man Of Steel", and "Rush". In fact, Peter sang and produced the only original song in the Dreamworks motion picture "Madagascar 3", which Peter co-wrote with his friend Dave Stewart.

Now in its tenth year, "Memoir" continues to thrill, as the reviews attest. On a more personal note, friends such as Liza Minelli, Eric Idle, Paul Shaffer, Ray Davies, Bill Wyman, Ken Follett, Edie Brickell, Billy Connolly, Jeff Lynne, Paul Simon, Bob Balaban, Joan Collins, Steve Martin, Tony Shalhoub, Linda Ronstadt, and Michael Feinstein have been among the audiences in New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and London that have given standing ovations to "Peter Asher: A Musical Memoir of the 60s and Beyond".

Dusk is an Alt-Rock band from Los Angeles, CA, formed in 2018. The band consists of Aaron Rudin (drums), Trent Rowland (lead vocals, rhythm guitar), Alex Madrid (lead guitar, backing vocals), & Michael Rudin (bass).

All of Dusk’s songs are connected through a narrative story, written by the band, which explores themes of utopia, morality, and control. This story is expressed through the lyrics of each song, videos, and interactive campaigns.

Dusk’s unique atmospheric but heavy spin on the classic alt-rock sound tells the narrative of an expansive story in which the characters’ actions and motivations often lie in a grey area between light and dark - this is the significance of the name, Dusk.

"I just heard the album you did with Billy May and it knocked my socks off. Salute” –
Frank Sinatra
“The new album is a knockout. It’s the kind of singing I love to hear and be around.” –
Tony Bennett
“...the players are through the roof. Stallone's vocals communicate emotions so
effectively he creates an intimacy that's as rare as it is raw...his performance is not
only memorable, but a spellbinding affair.”
Bernard Baur, Music Connection

Grammy and Golden Globe nominated artist Frank Stallone is one of the most versatile actors, singers and musicians in the business. His explosive voice and his range from comedy to drama and rock to blues to big band, leaves audiences entertained and captivated.

Frank has garnered three Platinum Albums, ten Gold Albums and five Gold Singles and has acted in over 60 films and TV shows including Walker Texas Ranger, multiple sitcoms and variety shows, Hudson Hawk, Staying Alive, Fred Claus and Tombstone, in which he made a big impact as “Ed Bailey,” a dangerous gunslinger. One of his most memorable film roles was as “Eddie,” the bartender in Barfly, which was touted by critic Roger Ebert: “Barfly is a terrific film that features an outstanding performance by Frank Stallone...he’s both captivating and terrifying at the same time.”

Frank has written and published over 200 songs and has written and recorded compositions for eight films, including Rocky I, II and III, Rambo II, Paradise Alley and Over the Top. But, it was Frank's nine songs that he wrote and recorded for the Saturday Night Fever Sequel Staying   Alive  that earned him a Golden Globe nomination for Best Sound Track and a Grammy nomination for Best Original Song with his single, Far From Over. That song became a massive number#1 hit around the world and stayed on the top charts for more than four months.

At a young age, theMaryland-born, Philadelphia-raised native pursued his musical ambitions, forming a series of bands, and finally turned professional at the tender age of 15 (“I had to lie about my age,” admits Frank). His group, Valentine, included lead guitarist John Oates (Hall and Oates) and was signed to RCA Records in 1975, when they recorded their first album. Frank made his onscreen singing debut, performing the self- penned acapella song, Take You Back in
the opening scene of the film Rocky. “The only reason I got the part was that I was the only musician my brother, Sylvester, knew...and I worked cheap.”

Frank has recorded nine solo albums receiving praise from legends Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett and Sammy Cahn. His rock-influenced Full Circle, “which I feel is my best” was followed by his American songbook albums, In Love in Vain, with Sammy Nestico, Stallone on Stallone by Request, a compilation of Frank's film soundtrack tunes, and Songs from the Saddle, showing Frank’s more acoustic side. He’s a big fan favorite in Australia and he performs in concert halls, theaters and clubs all around the world, gaining critical acclaim wherever he goes “he has the crowd enthralled.” (New York Daily News)

Frank is a guitar, music, mafia and art aficionado, is one of the best boxing historians and collectors in the world and is an avid collector of guitars, guns and memorabilia. When he’s not writing songs or filming a project, he can be found on a shooting range or at the gym but he’s happiest with a guitar, beautiful women and good glass of vino. If asked why he’s never been married, Frank will tell you “I guess I just forgot.”

The Wrecking Crew was a loose collective of “go to” Los Angeles based session musicians who played on literally thousands of studio recordings in the 1960s & early 1970s, including several hundred Top 40 hits by legendary artists as diverse as Jan & Dean, the Grass Roots, Simon & Garfunkel, The Beach Boys, Sonny & Cher, Nancy Sinatra, the Partridge Family, David Cassidy, the Carpenters, John Denver, Nat King Cole, and of course, Glen Campbell. They worked with dozens of top producers including Lou Adler, Mike Post, and Brian Wilson of the Beach Boys, who also co-wrote many of their most famous tracks, and used the Wrecking Crew's talents extensively in the mid-1960s on songs such as "Help Me, Rhonda", "California Girls", "Good Vibrations," and several album projects including Pet Sounds (1966), and the original sessions for Smile.

Glen Campbell became a touring member of The Beach Boys from December 1964 to March 1965, filling in for Brian Wilson, playing bass, and singing falsetto harmonies. He played guitar on the Beach Boys' album Pet Sounds, among other recordings. In 1968, Campbell released "Wichita Lineman", a song written by the great songwriter Jimmy Webb. It was recorded with backing from members of the Wrecking Crew and appeared on his 1968 album of the same name. It reached No. 3 on the U.S. pop charts and remained in the Top 100 for 15 weeks. The song also topped the American country music chart for 2 weeks and the adult contemporary chart for 6 weeks. In 1975, Glen Campbell released his thirtieth album, Rhinestone Cowboy, and the song by the same name became Campbell's largest-selling single (and one of his best-known recordings). "Rhinestone Cowboy" continues to be used in TV shows & films, including Desperate Housewives, Daddy Day Care, and High School High, and was the inspiration for the 1984 Dolly Parton/Sylvester Stallone movie Rhinestone.  Campbell won numerous music awards including Grammys for “By the Time I Get to Phoenix” and “I’m Not Gonna Miss You”, nominations for “Wichita Lineman” and “Rhinestone Cowboy”, American Music Awards, and Country Music Awards. Glen’s musical career was second to none.

In June 2011, Glen Campbell announced the devastating news that he was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease. In 2014 Campbell was featured in the documentary I'LL BE ME which examined Alzheimer's and its effect on his musical performances during his final tour across the US with his wife & family. Campbell died on August 8, 2017 at age 81 in Nashville, TN. His legacy lives on through the incredible music he left us.
