Strawberry Alarm Clock is a psychedelic rock band formed in 1967 in Los Angeles best known for their 1967 hit single "Incense and Peppermints". Strawberry Alarm Clock, who’s been also categorized as acid rock, psychedelic pop and sunshine pop,[5] charted five songs including two Top 40 hits. The current line-up includes five original members: Mark Stephen Weitz, Randy Seol, George Bunnell, Gene Gunnels, and Steve Bartek, plus guitarist Howie Anderson (member since 1987!). (Original guitarist Ed King, who who passed away August 22, 2018, joined in with the rest of the band earlier in 2018 to do a new recording of Incense and Peppermints which will be included on SAC’s upcoming EP.)

Strawberry Alarm Clock, or "SAC", evolved from a band called "Thee Sixpence" in 1967 which included drummer Gene Gunnels, keyboardist Mark Weitz, late guitarist, Ed King and late vocalist and guitarist, Lee Freeman. Vocalist and vibraphonist - Drummer Randy Seol came aboard during the sessions for their #1 hit “Incense and Peppermints”. Shortly thereafter George Bunnell was brought in as a songwriter and bass player. His songwriting partner Steve Bartek was also asked to join the band but had to decline as he was only 15 years old and couldn’t get parental approval. He did however play flute on the Incense and Peppermints album. Steve is now a successful film scorer and orchestrater for Danny Elfman. Gene left the group after the I & P session at the behest of his then girlfriend only to return in 1969 for their fourth album, Good Morning Starshine. Currently SAC is Celebrating its 50th anniversary while working on an album of all new material. SAC is as relevant now as they were in the summer of love.

David Garfield has had the same mission statement since moving from his hometown of St. Louis to Los Angeles as a teenager in the early 70s: “I make music.” Fully living up to this vision and in more expansive ways over the past few decades, the multi-talented keyboardist and musical Renaissance Man has established himself an eclectic force in popular music. At any given point during his career—and often at the same time—he has been a renowned songwriter, producer, bandleader (of Los Angeles based contemporary world jazz collective Karizma), arranger, recording artist, record label owner (Creatchy Records), session and touring musician, musical director and composer of various commissioned themes for global organizations.

Reflecting on his extraordinary, diverse career, the Los Angeles based Garfield says, “It’s creatively invigorating to have the opportunity to do so many interesting musical projects, to see so many amazing places throughout the world, and to work with some of the greatest musicians both in L.A. and overseas. I feel as though I am always learning from the artists and musicians I work with, not simply on a musical level, but also benefiting from their wealth of stories and life and career experiences. There are always unexpected thrills along the way, from opening with his band for Sergio Mendez or Jason Mraz to recording in a studio next to Paul McCartney or Alice in Chains and having the opportunity to meet and get to know them. I love being involved in so many different aspects of music and the feeling that I truly never know what’s coming up next.”

The sound of Grammy and Emmy nominated trumpeter, arranger Greg Adams is one of the world’s best-known musical signatures. As a founding member of Tower of Power, legendary for his arrangements that made the TOP horn section a sought out entity all its own. With countless collaborations in the studio and live on stage, Adams has made his mark on a broad stretch of today’s musical landscape that includes jazz, pop, rock, R&B, soul, and funk.

It has been nearly a quarter century since the genre chameleon trumpeter and arranger became a leader in his own right with his ground breaking 1995 debut Hidden Agenda. With Greg Adams’ approach that music is a language... the CONVERSATION continues. You will sense a direct connection with the live feel of the music, the open breath of each note and the collaboration of each player.

Adams felt he had something special happening even before the band went into the studio. “I was writing less notes with my writing partner Nick Milo and with the direction that the songs were taking us, we knew we had a different approach for writing for a ten-piece band”.

Greg gives a nod to Co-Producer and pianist Nick Milo. The two have been a long time song writing team, spanning 28 years. Milo has penned songs on every Adams solo and East Bay Soul CDs. Before joining East Bay Soul in 2016, Nick was the musical director for Joe Cocker with thirteen years at the helm.

Conversation marks the fourth studio album for East Bay Soul and takes a giant leap to cement their own style - a blend of Funk, Jazz, R&B and Soul. Their combined extraordinary talents bring incredible energy to the recording with heart and soul.

Greg has lent his sound to Elton John, Rod Stewart, Santana, Phish Celine Dion, Luther Vandross, Madonna, The Rolling Stones Bonnie Raitt, Paul Shaffer, Little Feat, Billy Preston, Peter Frampton, Chicago, The Eurhythmics, Lyle Lovett, Heart, Linda Ronstadt, Aaron Neville, The Brothers Johnson, Wilson Pickett, Huey Lewis and the News, Raphael Saadiq, Al Green, Quincy Jones, B.B. King, Ray Charles, Terrence Trent Darby, Dionne Warrick and Josh Groban to name a very few.

Greg has played on over 900 hundred recordings. Beginning early with Elton John’s “The Bitch Is Back” Chaka Kahn’s “Fool’s Paradise” Little Feat’s “High Roller” and Heart’s “Tell It like It Is”. You’ve heard Greg’s collaboration with Paul Shaffer on the opening theme of Late Show With David Letterman and on score arrangements in films as, Duets, Saving Silverman, Top Gun, Austin Powers In Goldmember with Smashmouth and Mask.

Teaming up with Stanley Clarke on Little Big League and on Sgt. Peppers Lonely Heart Club Band with the illustrious George Martin. Greg Adams is one of the

The opening track “Look Book” transports you to the Runways of New York, Paris, Milan and Tokyo! Look Book in hand. Lights open - from a curtain and the show begins...Greg Adams trumpet portrays the model on the “cat walk”. Dwayne “Smitty” Smith’s bass conjures up the much-needed attitude to really sell it!

One of three ballads on the CD is “Our Love Divine” and defines a romance in bloom. Artfully crafted music and lyrics by Rocky Maffit, with a classic Adams’ string arrangement and breathless vocals by Darryl Walker makes the song a certain timeless classic.

“Send” is sure to become a showstopper. Opening with the melody is Greg’s flugelhorn and soon Milo takes over on keys with an explosive tour de force on acoustic piano. “Possibilities” loose groove is infectious while the titled cut “Conversation” just melts you away on an easy vibe.

Adams reprises his original arrangement on the swampy Lowell George’s Little Feat favorite “Spanish Moon”. Kay-Ta emulates George’s guitar work in his own brand. Look for Bamont’s featured funky Baritone solo.

The glue that holds down the rhythm section is Herman Matthews’ stellar drum work. The East Bay Soul Horn section captures Greg’s percussive horn style to a T Lee Thornburg, Lead Trumpet, Johnnie Bamont on Tenor and Bari saxes, Steve Nieves on Alto sax, with special guest, Michael Stever offers additional trumpet work.

On the Otis Redding’s version of “Try A Little Tenderness” East Bay Soul channels Redding’s Dictionary of Soul. From the recording booth, Greg was trying to get Herman Matthews to look up from his drum kit, to let him know “We Got It”. It is a fitting end to the album Adams says, “We really embraced the title of the CD and what we accomplished was a Conversation!

The media refer to #1 selling artist, Aubrey Logan as “The Queen of Sass.” And it’s easy to see why. Her concerts are a mix of excellent musicality, jaw-dropping vocals, expert trombone-playing, a breathtaking array of originals and original takes on cover songs and, well…fun! Her heart-wrenching musical stories has audiences in tears just before her comedic relief has them in stitches.

Aubrey Logan loves music, loves performing and loves her fans. And it shows. “My relationship with the audience is the most fun I can legally have!” she says. Very few artists can concentrate so fully on the music and yet be so connected to the people who have come to hear her. And that connection is magic.

Aubrey has seen a lot of recent success. Her debut album, Impossible, immediately shot to the top 10 on the iTunes, Billboard and Amazon charts. And her next appearance on Summer Horns II, from A to Z (as a special guest of Dave Koz on Concord Records) became the #1selling Contemporary Jazz Album. Aubrey has spent more time at the top of the charts lately than she has in an airport, and travel has been a permanent fixture for her in the last couple of years.

Aubrey Logan has performed more than 250 shows since 2016. Besides countless dates touring as a guest star with Postmodern Jukebox and another nationwide tour with Dave Koz and his all-star lineup, Aubrey has been selling out her own shows in venues all over the US and Europe.

First coming to international attention after winning BOTH the prestigious Montreux Jazz Festival Jury and Audience-Choice awards, Aubrey has gone on to perform with Pharrell Williams, Seth McFarlane, Meghan Trainor, Josh Groban, Gerald Albright, Haley Reinhart, and countless other legends. Her appearances on Jimmy Kimmel and The Grammy Awards and a PBS special and London Live have kept her in the public eye and millions of fans have watched her head-spinning videos on YouTube and Facebook. It seems like everywhere you turn, you’re bumping into Aubrey Logan.

She’s now preparing for a US Tour, a European Tour, an Australian Jazz Cruise and the recording of her next album. So no need to worry….there’s no shortage of “sass” in our immediate future.

“…as Mr. Asher regaled a delighted audience with stories… he conjured history in the making, before it was set in stone.”  – Stephen Holden, New York Times

“…the exuberant Mr. Asher knew anyone who rocked and everyone who mattered.” –Wall Street Journal

“An all-around charming and delightful fellow — he reminisces about his whole career and it is highly entertaining” – Steve Martin

“Everybody should go and see it — I’ve seen it myself twice” – Linda Ronstadt

We first came to know him through the global smash “World Without Love” as one half of the British Invasion duo Peter & Gordon. He returns--now a Commander of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire-- in “Peter Asher: A Musical Memoir of the 60s and Beyond” which brings a multimedia experience to the stage, hosted by the two-time Grammy winner for Producer of the Year. Peter Asher moved effortlessly from his role with Peter & Gordon to Music Executive with the Beatles’ Apple Records, then famously- (as in cover of Rolling Stone magazine level famous)- to Producer and Manager, handling the careers of James Taylor, Linda Ronstadt and a host of others. Books abound, documentaries with half-truths (and worse) are all too common, but, now, finally, Mr. Asher tells first hand his tales from the eye of the cultural hurricane in this intimate evening.

For this unique show, Kate Taylor, as in James’ “Sister Kate”, is Peter Asher’s guest. Mr. Asher discovered Kate, and managed and produced her as she recorded his debut album, the aptly titled “Sister Kate”. Peter Asher brought to that album the same cast of musicians that made the “Sweet Baby James” album for James Taylor.

Plus: “Bookends”: The Complete Simon and Garfunkel Album Live In Concert

Named one of popular music's  All-Time Greatest Albums by Rolling Stone magazine, Simon and Grafunkel's “Bookends” quickly became an album that defined the era upon its release in April, 1968. Rolling Stone said that a lyric in "A Hazy Shade of Winter"—"Time, time, time, see what’s become of me..."—"defined the moment for a generation on the edge of adulthood" and, in addition to the above accolades, also named it one of the Top 25 albums of the 60s.

"Bookends" was intentionally a song cycle tracing a person's life.  Art Garfunkel told the UK newspaper The Guardian in 2015 that the album was influenced by the recent release of the Beatles' Sgt. Pepper.  "We were terribly impressed, and that shone a light on the path that led to Bookends." The album spent 7 weeks at Number One on the Billboard top pop Albums chart, despite the fact that it's major single, Mrs Robinson, was also the lead track on the soundtrack to the film "The Graduate". In fact, In the spring and summer of 1968--from April 6 to July 20, a 16 week period--either "Bookends" or  "The Graduate" was the number one album.

Seven of the album's eleven songs were released as singles, an unprecedented number in that era. "A Hazy Shade of Winter"-, "At The Zoo", "Fakin' It', "Mrs. Robinson" b/w " Old Friends/Bookends " and "America". They all charted, and "Mrs Robinson" was a number one smash and the Grammy Winner for "Record of the Year.". The album spent 66 weeks on the chart and sold in the millions.

KATE TAYLOR

Born in New England and raised in North Carolina, Kate shares her dual musical heritage with brothers James, Livingston, Hugh, and her late brother Alex. Her roots run deep in the soul, gospel and rockabilly sounds of her southern upbringing and in the literate folk, pop and Appalachian stylings that comprise the balance of her family's musical legacy.

Fronting her own band at fifteen, Kate signed her first recording contract with Atlantic/Cotillion records at nineteen under the tutelage of her manager, legendary producer Peter Asher. That album, "Sister Kate," produced her first charting hit, a cover of Elton John's "Country Comfort," recorded with his encouragement and blessing.

She later recorded two albums for Columbia Records, "Kate Taylor," produced by her brother James Taylor and "It's in There," produced by acclaimed Muscle Shoals/Nashville producer Barry Beckett. Her duet with James, "The Shoop Shoop Song," from "Kate Taylor," became her next charting hit single and remains an audience favorite today.

Kate's 2002 release, Beautiful Road, received 3 stars from Rolling Stone, who dubbed it a "heartfelt folk-rock gem."  Her 2009 release, Fair Time!, her first of all original compositions, debuted to critical acclaim nationwide.

Kate's performances have included the Newport Folk Festival, the WUMB/Boston Folk Festival, Sirius/XM radio and Nashville's famed Blue Bird Cafe. Kate plays regularly throughout the Northeast and at Feinstein's in New York City.

This is a rare chance to see Kate Taylor on the west coast. The legendary Simon & Garfunkel album, "Bookends" will be performed by an all-star band featuring Jeff Ross (Peter Asher, Badfinger), Bill Cinque (Neil Diamond),  Rob Bonfiglio (Brian Wilson), and Christopher Allis (Deana Carter, Denny Laine).

Americana-Pop quartet, VENICE is a band of brothers from Venice, CA consisting of brothers, Mark and Michael Lennon and their cousins, Kipp and Pat Lennon (also brothers) who have been performing together since the 1980s and singing all of their lives. They have recorded and toured around the world performing for a loyal, devoted fan base with a deep catalog of rich songs from over 20 albums.

VENICE’s trademarks are their tight harmonies, personal lyrics and high energy, communal shows which garner them ovations and encores at virtually every performance they’ve given, from intimate theaters to sprawling festivals, from the US to Europe. Their hardworking career over time has earned them major record releases on Sony Music, Universal Music, Atlantic Records and Vanguard Records.

Over the years, they have made their mark with their distinctive vocal sound and harmonies. VENICE, as a group and as individuals, have performed and/or recorded with some of the biggest names in the music industry, including Bruce Springsteen, Michael Jackson, David Crosby, Stevie Nicks, Bon Jovi, Jackson Browne, Brian Wilson, Cher, Don Henley, Elton John, Michael McDonald, Phil Collins, Ozzy Osborne, Billy Idol, America, Heart, and more. The Lennons spent most of 2010-2013 as backing vocalists performing in the 219 show, record-breaking worldwide arena and stadium tour of “Roger Waters’ The Wall” (Pink Floyd). VENICE joined such artists as Bruce Springsteen, Bonnie Raitt, Don Henley, Ben Harper, and Lyle Lovett in contributing a track to the 2014 compilation album, Looking Into You: A Tribute To Jackson Browne.

For over fifteen years, Venice has enjoyed a great level of success in Europe, where their harmonies and musicality are considered a modern extension of what many Europeans call “West Coast Music.” Their music is a reflection of many of their influences while growing up in the small, eclectic and culturally diverse beach town for which they are named. VENICE’s sound is familiar and fresh, combining their classic rock and folk influences in harmonies influenced by The Beach Boys, The Eagles, and CSN.

In the summer of 2018, VENICE began working on songs for their upcoming album, Jacaranda Street, produced by Michael Lennon (set for release April 2019). The new album consists of songs about their family histories, themes of romance, renewal, love and loss, and songs exploring the experiences of moving forward and looking back in the new century. Many of their musical influences are also evident on Jacaranda Street, from their shared love of artists spanning many eras; from Steely Dan, Joni Mitchell, Paul Simon to artists like Rufus Wainwright and John Mayer.

The VENICE hybrid of folk/rock/soul is relevant, alive, and still growing, with many fans worldwide considering them the torchbearers of the Southern California sound. With Jacaranda Street, they have raised the bar again with a beautifully conceived and executed artistic step along that California road. Roll down the window and feel the breeze. www.venicetheband.com

“Venice is the best vocal group in America right now. I love all kinds of harmony. But I particularly love theirs, because it’s so natural. It’s not like anybody else’s. This is my favorite band in the world.”
-- David Crosby

"I've been listening to Venice for years!  Their vocals and harmonies are so beautiful. Something that I really learned from as a singer!”
-- Colbie Caillat

"Venice, one of my favorite bands, is quintessentially Californian, with soaring harmonies. They sing and play their asses off. I’ve seen them knock out many unsuspecting crowds, taking the audiences, who had not come to see them, completely by surprise. It's such a pleasure to play with these guys, because they have that power."
--Jackson Browne

British rocker Terry Reud could have been a lot more famous if he had been able to accept the slot of lead singer for the New Yardbirds in 1968. That slot, of course, went to Robert Plant, and the New Yardbirds became Led Zeppelin. Unlike Plant, Reid was also a guitarist, and the opportunity to head his own group no doubt played a part in his decision to gun for a solo career. Terry Reid is the musician’s musician with “ the voice” that has lost none of its power, still singing, still playing, still writing songs. In recent years his songs have featured in the soundtracks of films.

“Nobody’s Girl” is a masterpiece. It has a complexity in the lyric that is so artful -- Larry John McNally is one of my favorite writers ever. He's an undersung, underrated brilliant artist, and he's constantly putting out records and should be appreciated more than he is”. - Bonnie Raitt
