If you took some Stevie RayVaughn and Mark Knopfler, added a good measure of Bonnie Raitt, then stirred it with a Jeff Beck swizzle stick, you’d be getting close to the incredible music of Teresa Russell and Stephen Geyer.

TERESA RUSSELL is a southern California native who at age 13 was playing venues on the Sunset Strip at the Whiskey and Gazzarri’s along with TV appearances on Boss City with The “Real Don Steel” and doing concert performances in Vegas, Reno and Tahoe. Teresa received a guitar scholarship to CSUN and later hit the road as lead guitarist for Helen Reddy while continuing her writing and recording projects. Teresa Russell, is the only female to ever win the west regional Rock & Roll Hall of Fame’s lead guitar competition. She has shared the stage with rockers such as Johnny Winter, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Eddie Money, Walter Trout, John Anderson, Carl Palmer, Shiela E and more.

STEPHEN GEYER is a notable L.A. based Studio and Concert Guitarist/Singer-Songwriter/Producer-Arranger who has played with legendary greats from The Wrecking Crew’s Tommy Tedesco, Hal Blaine, Mike Melvoin, Lyle Ritz, to Larry Carlton, Lee Sklar, Russ Kunkel, Jimmy Gordon, Kenny Rankin, and Ronny Milsap to name a few. As a Hit Songwriter, Geyer’s songs have been recorded by a wide variety of renowned artists including, Smokey Robinson, Glen Campbell, John Denver, Roberta Flack, Kenny Rogers, Alabama, Angela Bofill, and even The Chipmunks. Stephen has contributed Themes and Episodic Songs to numerous hit TV shows, including The Greatest American Hero (“Believe It Or Not”, #1 Gold record); Blossom (“My Opinionation”, Dr. John); The Valerie Harper Show/The Hogans (“Together Through The Years”, Roberta Flack). Along the way he has been the recipient of numerous industry kudos including Gold and Platinum singles and albums, an Emmy Nomination, and BMI Songwriter awards.

Delighting in the “dance of guitars” Teresa and Stephen are Ventura County favorites playing everything from blues and rock to jazz and zydeco. You can catch them performing regularly throughout the coastal area. All Teresa Russell and Stephen Geyer CD’s are available on iTunes.

Moonalice is a psychedelic, roots-rock band of seasoned musicians mixing a variety of genres with extended musical improvisations that evoke a sense of adventure and exploration. Everyone is a part of the experience and the music inspires dancing and other acts of self expression. CUBENSIS

the band that plays Dead, had its beginnings in 1987 when a group of Deadhead musicians became frustrated with the Dead’s all-too-infrequent visits to Southern California. To fill the gap, guitarist Craig Marshall assembled a group and began to perform at backyard parties and local bars, initially appearing as "Sugar Cubensis" until being repeatedly mistaken for Bjork's band the Sugar Cubes. For clarity the name was pared down to just "Cubensis."

Soon, word got around about this outfit, who used the Dead’s music as a skeletal framework for their own improvisational explorations. To this day, you would have a difficult time calling CUBENSIS a “Dead Cover Band” without admitting they have tapped into the same inspirational wellspring as the Masters themselves. As the LA WEEKLY observes, “Cubensis plays with the same laid-back mastery as the Real McCoy.” Big Brother Skateboard magazine crowned Cubensis as “the nation’s premiere Dead tribute” in their January, 2002 issue.

The Los Angeles-based group has carried the torch in celebration of one of America’s most beloved touring bands. CUBENSIS brings the original, organic Grateful Dead concert experience back to life. Drawing from all eras of the Dead, the band performs improvised sets of Grateful Dead and Jerry Garcia Band classics that retain all the spontaneous exploratory jamming for which the bands were renown. However, the music produced is uniquely Cubensis.

Accordingly, the group has been acclaimed for giving new life to the Grateful Dead’s material, bringing in new styles, new innovations, and new jam band enthusiasts, while at the same time remaining loyal to the original music and the original fans.

Now celebrating their 30th anniversary, CUBENSIS has been privileged to be joined onstage by numerous rock superstars, including Chris Robinson and Marc Ford (Black Crowes), Warren Haynes (Phil & Friends, Allman Bros.), John Molo (Phil & Friends), and both Vince Welnick and Tom Constanten of the Grateful Dead, as well as Melvin Seals of the Jerry Garcia Band. CUBENSIS has appeared extensively at the Southwest’s major venues, including an amazing 50+ performances the House of Blues in Hollywood, Anaheim and Las Vegas.

Speaking of Jerry Garcia, CUBENSIS guitarist Craig Marshall met him during a shared airplane flight to Eugene, OR for the famous 1990 Dead/ Little Feat pairing. By way of introduction, Marshall said that he was in CUBENSIS, and that they played all Grateful Dead music, to which Garcia replied, in mock surprise, “Oh yeah? So do we!!” Upon that, the two lead guitarists talked shop, and reports of the conversation went viral on the internet. One thing Marshall obtained was Jerry’s blessing to perform the Dead’s music. Garcia’s only requirement was that he “do a good job of it.”

Ever since, CUBENSIS has promised authenticity and delivers pure Grateful Dead-inspired music like it was meant to be heard, keeping the Dead alive and re-creating the magic one show at a time.

The Court Jesters of Rock & Roll continue their quest of lampooning songs by throwing them back to the classic Rock styles of the 1950's...where they belong!

This Rhino recording act first stormed the top 40 UK charts in 1985 with their gorgeous Pat Boone style version of Springsteenʼs "Dancing in the Dark”    Since then, they have released six LPs, and have been featured multiple times on the nationally syndicated radio show "Little Steven’s Underground Garage.”

When it comes down to delighting audiences with outrageous renditions of Pop & Rock standards, BIG DADDY never disappoints.   The addition of works from Prince, Taylor Swift and Bruno Mars will make this timeless show both relevant and irreverent.

“...Big Daddy creates new takes on Pop and Rock songs that are consistently inspired, illuminating and often hilarious.”

–Randy Lewis, LA Times

CALLING ALL CROSBY, STILLS, NASH & YOUNG FANS!

Back in May of 1969, Crosby, Stills & Nash released their debut album on Atlantic Records.

The album was a very strong debut for the band, instantly lifting them to stardom. Along with the Byrds' Sweetheart of the Rodeo and The Band's Music from Big Pink of the previous year, it helped initiate a sea of change in popular music away from the ruling late-1960s aesthetic of bands playing blues-based rock music on loud guitars.

Crosby, Stills & Nash presented a new wrinkle in building upon rock's roots, utilizing folk, blues, and even jazz without specifically sounding like mere duplication. Not only blending voices, the three meshed their differing strengths, David Crosby for social commentary and atmospheric mood pieces, Stephen Stills for his diverse musical skills and for folding folk and country elements subtly into complex rock structures, and Graham Nash for his radio-friendly pop melodies, to create an amalgam of broad appeal.

The album features some of their best known songs: "Helplessly Hoping", "Long Time Gone" (a response to the assassination of Robert F. Kennedy), "Suite: Judy Blue Eyes" (composed for Judy Collins) and "Wooden Ships" (co-written with Paul Kantner of Jefferson Airplane).

To celebrate the 50 Year Anniversary of this legendary album, DEJA VU (A Musical Retrospective of Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young) will perform it in it's entirety on Thursday, July 11th at 8pm!

Deja vu is the most accurate and heartfelt re-creation of the CSN&Y experience. Brought to life by a group of highly dedicated and experienced L.A. area musicians, Devitt Feeley, Steve Elowe, Jim Wootten and Tom Sweeney not only perform the legendary music of CSNY - they take their audience on a magical, musical trip through classic rock history!

Please mark your calendars and make your plans to join us for this very special occasion!

2019 Grammy Nominated Teresa James & The Rhythm Tramps

Our band, the Rhythm Tramps, has a long history: The first band to be called ‘the Rhythm Tramps’ was formed by Terry Wilson and Tony Braunagel when they were living in London back in the 70’s. They were touring at the time with the rock band, Back Street Crawler (which also featured the legendary Paul Kossoff on guitar and John ‘Rabbit’ Bundrick who has been a long time keyboard player with The Who) and they missed playing the Texas style blues that they had grown up with, so they formed the ‘Rhythm Tramps’ and performed in local pubs. It got to be quite a hang for London musicians – legendary singer, Frankie Miller was one of the regulars, which also included whoever happened to be in town. The transient nature of the players spawned the name, ‘the Rhythm Tramps’. In the years since Terry and I have re-established the Rhythm Tramp tradition, we have also had a lot of amazing players that have played with the band – some for several years at a time, some for just a few nights. Even though we have a steady group of players with us now, there are still occasions where we have the opportunity to bring in other players. Below our current roster, you'll find a partial list (in no particular order) of some of the people that we have had the pleasure of working with over the years.

Traditional Acoustic Jazz with a living legend 89 year old Joe Porcaro.

David Garfield has had the same mission statement since moving from his hometown of St. Louis to Los Angeles as a teenager in the early 70s: “I make music.” Fully living up to this vision and in more expansive ways over the past few decades, the multi-talented keyboardist and musical Renaissance Man has established himself an eclectic force in popular music. At any given point during his career—and often at the same time—he has been a renowned songwriter, producer, bandleader (of Los Angeles based contemporary world jazz collective Karizma), arranger, recording artist, record label owner (Creatchy Records), session and touring musician, musical director and composer of various commissioned themes for global organizations.

Reflecting on his extraordinary, diverse career, the Los Angeles based Garfield says, “It’s creatively invigorating to have the opportunity to do so many interesting musical projects, to see so many amazing places throughout the world, and to work with some of the greatest musicians both in L.A. and overseas. I feel as though I am always learning from the artists and musicians I work with, not simply on a musical level, but also benefiting from their wealth of stories and life and career experiences. There are always unexpected thrills along the way, from opening with his band for Sergio Mendez or Jason Mraz to recording in a studio next to Paul McCartney or Alice in Chains and having the opportunity to meet and get to know them. I love being involved in so many different aspects of music and the feeling that I truly never know what’s coming up next.”

“One of the world's most remarkable acoustic guitarists.” - The South China Post

Laurence Juber is a solo performer, recording artist, composer and arranger. His playing fuses folk, jazz, blues, pop and classical styles, creating a multi-faceted performance that belies the use of only one instrument.

First internationally recognized as lead guitarist in Paul McCartney's Wings, with whom he won a Grammy®, Juber has since established himself as world-renowned guitar virtuoso and entertainer.

Juber, known to his fans as LJ, has recorded more than two dozen albums which spotlight his unique touch and tone on acoustic guitar. His 2018 release, Touchstones, is an historic collection of the roots of fingerstyle guitar from the renaissance to the early 20th century, with a matching folio published by Hal Leonard. Downtown, a jazz-inflected collection of standard tunes, was released in April 2019.

LJ Plays The Beatles was voted one of Acoustic Guitar Magazine's all-time Top Ten albums. His solo arrangement  and performance of The Pink Panther Theme earned him a second Grammy®, while his arrangement of Stand By Me was heard nationally in a Diamonds Are Forever commercial. Juber’s DVD-Audio project Guitar Noir (AIX Records) won a CES Demmy award for best surround-sound audio.

His 'photo memoir' Guitar With Wings was published by Dalton Watson Fine Books.

As a studio musician, he can be heard on recordings from artists as diverse as Dan Hicks & The Hot Licks, Seal and the French chanteuse Sylvie Vartin, plus he is featured on the soundtracks to hundreds of TV shows such as Home Improvement and movies including the academy award-winning Dirty Dancing, Good Will Hunting and Pocahontas.

Juber co-composed the soundtrack of the award-winning video game Diablo III and scored the NBC Dateline documentary Children Of The Harvest. His music is also featured in the Ken Burns’ documentary The Tenth Inning.

“A stunning sense of space and fluidity…a truly wondrous sound” - Guitar World

"Uniformly exquisite and dazzingly executed” - L.A.Times

“Juber scores high marks for the clarion precision of his playing and for his tasteful arrangements” - Downbeat

“A Master!“-  Pete Townshend, The Who

“LJ is a musical chameleon who shines brightly regardless of the landscape.” -Will Turpin, Collective Soul

“The melodies, textures and harmonies he coaxes out of an acoustic guitar are absolutely spellbinding." - Guitar Player Magazine

"At the heart of LJ's sound and style breathes a near-flawless technique where a fiercely emotional underbelly, alternate tunings, and keen sense of melody and rhythm coalesce into something uniquely his own..you don't have to be a solo-happy guitar worshipper to appreciate his talents."- Inland Empire Weekly

"....the notes spin out of the songs with such finesse and musical agility, it's hard to believe he has only 10 fingers and six strings."- San Francisco Chronicle

Meet Tin Drum, an ensemble of musicians bringing an invigorating freshness to contemporary music by exploring themes that fall outside of well-worn trends. The band’s nucleus is the husband-wife team of Burleigh Drummond and Mary Harris. They are two veterans who continue to thrive with their current project as strong, experienced singing and songwriting partners. Drummond was the founding drummer of progressive pop-rock group Ambrosia, a band that helped define the sound of popular music in the 1970s and 80s with a string of hits and five subsequent Grammy nominations. Drummond wears many musical hats now, playing drums, percussion, and acoustic guitar as well as providing vocals. Harris is a singer/songwriter who has honed her skills on the road and in the studio, working with the top acts of Pink Floyd, XTC, Stanley Clarke, and Jimmy Buffet. Now she provides the voice of Tin Drum and plays keyboards for the band. Enhancing the ensemble are John Davis on bass  and Marc Bonilla on guitar, mandolin, and vocals… musicians who embrace and help to further define Tin Drum’s musical philosophy.

This Southern California based band has released three CDs: Real World (1995), Small Parade (2001) and Where Have You Been? (2009). Each album captures the musical passions of the group with their intimate and personal style. A deeper exploration reveals rich, complex arrangements and a mature look at the world that is revealed through lyrics that reflect both the ethereal content of dreams and the concrete issues of everyday living. Each individual track stands alone as an example of a gifted composition as well as a compelling layer of a greater musical structure. http://www.tindrummusic.com
