KIM RICHMOND is an active and versatile musician based in the Los Angeles area. His first love is jazz, and his primary jazz voice is the alto saxophone. He has, however, been involved in nearly every facet of the professional music industry, both as a player and as a composer/arranger. His instruments are alto, soprano, tenor and baritone saxes, clarinet, bass clarinet, and flutes. Kim has been a member of the orchestras of Stan Kenton, Louis Bellson, Bob Florence, Bill Holman, and Vinny Golia among others. His own Kim Richmond Concert Jazz Orchestra is a workshop for his writing, conducting and leading. His Ensemble (sextet) is a platform for more free-form expression and improvsation with the members playing and Kim's writing being the key factors. His current group is The KIM-PROJECT, co-led with vocalist Kimberly Ford, and is a tribute to the music of Herbie Hancock and Joni Mitchill.

Kim is also a consummate educator. He was for 12 years an adjunct professor in the Jazz Studies department of University of Southern California (teaching combos, composition and saxophone), and does numerous jazz camps and clinics in the Spring and Summer of each year. He is on staff at many of the Jim Widner Summer Jazz Camps, and is involved in running the Northwoods Jazz Camp for grown-ups and the Santa Barbara Jazz Workshop (with co-director Kimberly Ford). He most recently was an instructor in the Jazz Department of California Institute of the Arts, and at California State University, Fullerton. For many years Kim served as Music Director for Los Angeles Music Center's Spotlight Awards, where he directed his orchestra and did arrangements for young students' performances.

Kim is a past-President of ASMAC (American Society of Music Arrangers and Composers), which provides masterclasses and avenues of learning for all interested. Whatever his mode of expression, be it instrumental performance, composition, arranging and conducting, KIM RICHMOND is striving to express a uniquely original voice, combining his extensive experience with the new sounds of our evolving musical world.

Kim is a Selmer artist and endorses all Selmer saxophones and other woodwinds. He is also a Vandoren artist, and uses Vandoren reeds, mouthpieces and other accessories. In spite of his busy schedule in the professional music world, KIM RICHMOND enjoys keeping in touch with the educational music field by serving as guest lecturer, conductor and guest soloist at college music festivals and workshops around the country.

Join TIN DRUM for a very special Tin Family Band night featuring some very special guests – their kids! The band’s nucleus is husband-wife team Burleigh Drummond and Mary Harris, two veterans who continue to thrive with their current project as strong, experienced singing and songwriting partners who capture their musical passion with intimate and personal style. Tin Drum brings an invigorating freshness to contemporary music by exploring themes that fall outside of well-worn trends.

Throughout TIN DRUM’s recording career they have been joined by their very talented children. Their son, Burleigh M. Drummond is an accomplished musician and has spent the last 3 years touring with the acclaimed Everly Brothers Experience. Daughter Sierra Rose Drummond, who is an award-winning singer and composer, is returning home from Thailand where she serves in the Peace Corp.

They will both be making special appearances. The Tin Drum Family show is by far the band’s favorite way to play music!

Burleigh Drummond was the founding drummer of progressive pop-rock group Ambrosia, a band that helped define the sound of popular music in the 1970s and 80s with a string of hits and 5 subsequent Grammy nominations. Drummond wears many musical hats playing drums, percussion, and acoustic guitar as well as providing vocals in Tin Drum. Mary Harris, also a member of Ambrosia, is a singer/songwriter who has honed her skills on the road and in the studio, working with the top acts of Pink Floyd, XTC, Stanley Clarke, and Jimmy Buffet. She provides the voice of Tin Drum and plays keyboards for the band.

Enhancing the ensemble are John Davis on bass and Marc Bonilla on guitar, mandolin, and vocals… musicians who embrace and help to further define Tin Drum’s musical philosophy. http://www.tindrummusic.com

Join original members of The Wrecking Crew Don Randi, Don Peake, and Chuck Berghofer, along with an incredible band and some of LA’s most talented singers for a night of music that pays tribute to the late, great Glen Campbell and more.

The Wrecking Crew was a loose collective of session musicians based in Los Angeles whose services were employed for thousands of studio recordings in the 1960s & early 1970s, including several hundred Top 40 hits. The musicians were viewed prestigiously among industry insiders and are now considered one of the most successful and prolific session recording units in music history. The Wrecking Crew were the "go to" session musicians in Los Angeles during this time. The Wrecking Crew worked with dozens of producers including Brian Wilson, Terry Melcher, Lou Adler, Bones Howe, Jimmy Bowen, and Mike Post. They were teamed with artists as diverse as Jan & Dean, Bobby Vee, Nancy Sinatra, the Grass Roots, Simon & Garfunkel, Glen Campbell, the Partridge Family, David Cassidy, the Carpenters, John Denver and Nat King Cole. Brian Wilson of the Beach Boys produced and co-wrote many of their most famous tracks, and used the Wrecking Crew's talents extensively in the mid-1960s, including on songs such as "Help Me, Rhonda", "California Girls", and "Good Vibrations" and several of their album projects of the period, including Pet Sounds (1966) and the original sessions for Smile.

From December 1964 to early March 1965, Glen Campbell was a touring member of The Beach Boys, filling in for Brian Wilson, playing bass guitar and singing falsetto harmonies. Campbell played guitar on the Beach Boys' album Pet Sounds, among other recordings. In 1968, Campbell released "Wichita Lineman", a song written by Jimmy Webb. It was recorded with backing from members of the Wrecking Crew and appeared on his 1968 album of the same name. It reached #3 on the U.S. pop charts and remained in the Top 100 for 15 weeks. The song also topped the American country music chart for two weeks, and the adult contemporary chart for six weeks.

In 1975, Glen Campbell released his thirtieth album, Rhinestone Cowboy, and the song by the same name became Campbell's largest-selling single and one of his best-known recordings. "Rhinestone Cowboy" continues to be used in TV shows and films, including Desperate Housewives, Daddy Day Care, and High School High and was the inspiration for the 1984 Dolly Parton/Sylvester Stallone movie Rhinestone. Campbell won numerous music awards including Grammys for “By the Time I Get to Phoenix” and “I’m Not Gonna Miss You”, nominations for “Wichita Lineman” & “Rhinestone Cowboy”, American Music Awards, and Country Music Awards. Glen’s musical career was second to none.

In June 2011, Glen Campbell announced the devastating news that he was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s Disease. In 2014 Campbell was featured in the documentary I'LL BE ME which examined Alzheimer's and its effect on his musical performances during his final tour across the US with his wife & family. Campbell died on August 8, 2017 at age 81 in Nashville, TN. His legacy lives on through the incredible music he left us.
