The Band “Fredy Boy” was formed in 2016 by Fred Beato, rock drummer, music producer and founder of the iconic Beato Bags and Tom Croucier, who’s career includes singer, composer, bass player and recording artist performing with Santana, the Scorpions, the Turtles with Flo and Eddy as well as with other original projects. Bandmates since their early high school years, Fred and Tom began writing and producing original music together again in 2015. Their unique combination of rock, pop and Latin sounds was influenced by their Cuban roots and the great bands of the 60’s.

Their music was further enhanced by the skills and instincts of keyboardist, singer/composer, Iliana Rose, a fiery performer and seasoned musician born in Miami and raised by Cuban parents and grandparents. Steeped in Cuban rhythms and culture, she started playing music at the age of four. At an early age, she moved to Los Angeles and began performing live shows with her band, “The Iliana Rose Cuban Jazz Band.” Iliana adds performing on national TV, composing music for films, music arranging, producing full length albums and session work.

Also in 2017, Fredy Boy scored the versatile guitarist, Pablo Padilla to join the band. In his home country of Spain, he toured and recorded with a broad range of independent, American and Internationally acclaimed European artists including platinum album artist Marc Antoine (International Artist of the Year recipient-2010), Spanish recording star, Malu Trevejo and American songwriter, Robert Tepper (Rocky IV).

Fredy Boy’s debut album, “Tail of the Shark,” infuses the elements of Rock, Pop and Latin that take listeners back a little in time to the best of times then thrusts them forward with a contagious groove with no two songs alike. The album was mastered at Capitol Records where Fred Beato worked with renowned engineer/producer and 23 time Grammy Winner, Al Schmitt, who mixed several of the tracks on the record.
